  • David Sinclair

    Senior pastor

    David received a B.S. from Clemson University, an M.Div. from Covenant Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. from RTS in Jackson, MS. He served with RUF at Clemson University from 1984-1997 and Senior Pastor of Lexington Presbyterian Church from 1997 to 2007. In 2007 he returned to Clemson Pres, where he serves as Senior Pastor. David is married to Becky and they have three children: Graham married to Katy, Laura Catherine married to Alex and Benjamin married to Corey.

    Executive pastor of administration & discipleship

    Steve grew up in Great Falls, S.C. He received a B.A. from Wofford College and a M.Div. from Columbia Biblical Seminary in Columbia, S.C. He is a life long South Carolinian and has been in the ministry for over twenty years. Steve and his wife Phyllis have 2 children, Ashley and Stephen, Jr., one son-in-law, Andrew who is married to Ashley, one daughter-in-law, Kirstie who is married to Stephen, Jr., and five grandchildren, Abigail, Elijah, Emma, Drew, and Cameron.

    Matthew loves sharing the redemptive work of God with others. He also loves all things related to the outdoors. As a result, Matthew was actively involved in Christian camp ministry both during and after college. Following his work in camp ministry, Matthew attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC and graduated in 2012. Matthew and his wonderful wife, Rachel, met in seminary. In April 2012, Matthew accepted the call to become the Assistant Pastor of Youth and Families.

    Paula is wife to Kevin and mother of Wimberly, Janie, Clary, and Judy. She is from Anderson and attended Clemson University. Paula was a full time homemaker and public school teacher before coming on staff in 2014. Studying and teaching God’s Word is her passion, as well as encouraging women to understand their unique design and fulfill their individual callings. She is a conference speaker and, also, serves on the national women’s ministry team for the PCA as a women’s ministry trainer.

    music director

    Laurie Parsons studied music education at Furman University where she met her husband, Derek, CPC’s pianist. Laurie began her career teaching band and chorus in the public schools, but scaled back to a part-time role in church music as her family expanded. Now a soccer mom to three sons, Laurie currently leads the adult choir, youth ensemble, and worship teams. She also performs with the Anderson Chamber Orchestra and teaches horn at Southern Wesleyan University.

    Becky has a passion for teaching children God’s Word and encouraging memorization of Scripture. She loves to explore different avenues and curricula to communicate Scripture in innovative ways.  Her hobbies include spending time with her husband, David, and their adult children, walking her dog, Riggs, and knitting.

    Originally from Seneca, Sara was graduated from the University of Georgia. After spending eight years serving in student ministry, she is excited to be home and part of the community here. Her hobbies include art, writing, music, and cheering on Georgia football and Kentucky basketball.

  • Bailie Ruffo

    Youth intern

    Growing up in South Georgia, Bailie comes to Clemson Pres after being graduated from Georgia Southern with a degree in marketing. She looks forward to investing in the youth. Bailie enjoys baking, coffee shops, and antiquing.

  • ruthann crane

    Administrative assistant to the senior pastor

    Ruthann grew up and lived in the metro Atlanta area before moving to Clemson with her family six years ago. She was married to her husband of twenty years who recently lost his battle with Brain Cancer. She is a mother of two sons: Ray, a Freshman at Clemson, and Ben, a sophomore in high school. Ruthann loves being involved with the Women’s Ministry at CPC. She serves on the Women’s Ministry Team and is a Small Group Leader for the Wednesday Morning Bible Study.
