Family Promise provides shelter, support, and training to help homeless families get back on their feet again. December 17th-21st, Family Promise guests will stay at Clemson Pres. Hosting requires a team of volunteers to provide food, setup rooms, be a church host for the evening, play with sweet children, serve, food, host a Saturday activity, and help make all the details work. Volunteer by stopping by the table in the lobby after worship or sign up online.
Mercy Ministry is partnering with Ripple of One to provide Rey's Market (formerly Mercy Tree) for families that are involved in Ripple's program of mentoring and education, aimed at ending poverty in our community. We need donations of gifts and time.
The Women's Annual Christmas Gathering is on December 7th 6pm. Join other women for dinner, dessert, fellowship around the table, worship and testimonies from our sisters in Christ. Tickets are $5 can be purchased in the Clemson Pres app (under events), at clemsonpres.org/gathering, and in the Worship Center Lobby on Sunday mornings.
Officer Nominations will run December 3-January 14. Prayerfully consider who you believe God may be calling to the office of elder or deacon. Nomination forms explaining the qualifications are available on the information table in the lobby, church office or online.
Choral Christmas Service is December 10 during the morning worship service. The adult choir and orchestra are preparing several Christmas anthems for the service.
The Women's Christmas Gathering will have a limited number of fresh cut Christmas trees on display, graciously loaned to us by Eggers Christmas Trees in West Union. The trees will be for sale at a discounted price after the event that evening - six and seven foot trees for $35, stand included.
Circle One meets to celebrate Christmas with a luncheon on December 5 at 11:30 am in 1E6. Lunch will be catered. Bring $5 to help cover costs.
Circle Four will meet at the church on Monday, December 11th, 9:30AM, in room 1E6 for our Potluck Christmas Brunch. Please bring a dish to share. Becky will teach from Chapter 4, Noah and the Flood, in The Promised One: Seeing Jesus in Genesis, by Nancy Guthrie. A nursery will be provided.
The Primetimers are meeting for lunch on December 14th at Collin’s Ole Town from 11:30am-2:30pm. Kathryn Smith, author of The Gatekeeper is speaking. Cost is $20. Call the Mahonys to reserve a seat.
The Reformed University Fellowship-International Christmas Dinner is Dec 16th, 5-8pm in the Fellowship Hall. We expect 250 international and American guests! Thursday Mornings: Men's Bible study meets Thursdays at 6:30am in the Fellowship Hall. All men are invited as we study Six Habits of Spiritually Happy Men.
