Music Ministry

Worship plays a critical role in edifying and equipping believers. This belief drives the planning of services and music as we aim to create Christ-centered worship. The Lord uses music to work Truth into us as it engages our hearts, minds, and imaginations. Ultimately, we desire corporate worship to encourage believers as they grow in grace and are equipped to impact the world.

We invite you to participate in one of our Music Ministries, even if you’re not a musician. We offer opportunities for vocalists, instrumentalists, sound board technicians, projected media, and recordings.

Rehearsals and Opportunties

  • Morning Worship team

Singers and instrumentalists (of all types — band, orchestral, folk, jazz) are needed for this team. Audition is required. Rehearsal is at 6pm each Wednesday in the summer and 8pm during the school year. We also do a sound check on 9:30am on Sunday mornings before worship service.

  • Adult choir

Singers of all skill levels and experience are welcome! No audition, just a heart for singing. This ensemble generally sings twice a month in morning service and presents two larger programs at Christmas and Easter. Rehearsal is at 7pm on Wednesday evenings.

  • Orchestra ensemble

Players of some experience (we can work with many different levels of training) on any instrument are invited to be a part of this ensemble. Larger orchestras will play for the major programs and other special services around once per month.

  • Youth Ensemble

All middle and high school youth are welcome to be part of this ensemble that prepares occasional selections for worship and also helps lead music at youth meetings. Youth ensemble practices Sunday afternoons at 4:30 during the school year.

  • Media Team

If you’re more technically oriented and want to help out some of the behind the scenes ministries that help make Sunday Worship possible, consider helping out with sound, projected media, or recordings.
