women's ministry

The women’s ministry at CPC promotes the mission and vision of our church. We want women, by God’s grace, to better understand what it means to worship, love, and glorify God in every area of their lives. It is our desire to provide a place where women can learn, grow, and change as they follow Jesus. We want to equip them to extend God’s kingdom in their lives, home, church, dorm room, workplace, community, and throughout the world.

Opportunities for women

We seek to provide opportunities for women to be rooted in the sound doctrine of God’s Word in the context of relationships. We long for women to embrace their design and calling for the glory of God, the good of the body, and the extension of God's kingdom.

  • Women gather to study God's Word in the context of relationships. In these studies, women are encouraged to personally study the Scriptures throughout the week and then gather for large group teaching and small group discussion, accountability, and prayer. Our desire is for women to be encouraged and equipped as they walk with Christ.

We meet weekly at 9:15 on Wednesday mornings beginning August 25th and ending November 17th. Our Wednesday evening study begins on September 1st at 6:45 and will meet the first, third and fifth Wednesdays of each month. This fall we are studying II Corinthians. The title of our study is Confident and Compelled. As women we long to better understand who we are in Christ and how that impacts every area of our daily lives.

  • Circles are monthly gatherings of women for prayer, the study of God’s Word, opportunities to serve our church and community, and to grow in relationship with their sisters in Christ. It is through these groups that women are often cared for in times of need and develop fruitful relationships as they study truth in the context of community. Contact Paula (paula.miles@clemsonpres.org) to join a Circle.

    Current Circles:

Circle 3-Meets the second Monday of each month at 6:30 in various homes for prayer, dinner & fellowship. Led by Janis Miller.

Circle 4-Meets the second Monday of the month from 9:30-11:30 in 1E6 for Bible study, fellowship, service, & prayer. *childcare provided

  • “Moms upholding moms” is a ministry to moms with children(birth-3 years) both in the church and community. Mentor moms come alongside mothers of young children to encourage and equip them to think biblically about raising their children. It is another opportunity for God’s Word to be taught in the context of relationships.  For more information, contact Molly Snipes at molly.snipes@clemsonpres.org

  • The Widows’ Connection promotes fellowship and support among widows in our church and community. They provide connection and care for women navigating this season of life. Through this ministry, the church at large is often made aware of particular needs our widows may have.
