Membership

Welcome! We’re delighted you’re interested in knowing more about membership at Clemson Pres! Our desire is for you to know Jesus Christ by faith and be connected to His body, the Church. Therefore, we take membership, as well as the membership process, very seriously. Here are the steps involved in becoming a member.

NEWCOMERS' CLASS

Sundays | 9am | April 16-May21 | 2W4

Learn about Clemson Pres and let us get to know you! This class is the first step of the membership process. Taught by Pastor Steve Dickey, this is an excellent opportunity to learn and ask questions about our values, mission, and programs.

1. GET TO KNOW US
the newcomers class

The Newcomers’ Class is the first step of the membership process. It meets for five weeks and focuses on CPC’s vision, core values, beliefs, distinctions, and benefits of membership. The class is typically offered on Sundays at 9am (the Sunday School hour). If you are interested in coming, let us know here.

2. HELP US KNOW YOU
membership application

After completing the Newcomers’ Class, you’ll be able to fill out the membership application. You can do that online or print out a paper copy to bring to the church office.
*fill out an application for each applying family member

3. MEET THE ELDERS
elder interview

Once we receive your application, two elders will arrange a time to meet with you. They’ll want to get to know you, hear how you came to faith, give you time to ask questions and learn how they can come along side of and serve you. They will then bring your name to our Session to be received into membership.

4. MEET THE CONGREGATION
presentation to the congregation

Finally, you will be introduced to the congregation during morning worship service where you’ll take your membership vows as a member of Clemson Presbyterian Church.
