serving the city
We believe everyone experiences poverty due to the fall. Broken relationships with God, ourselves, our fellow man, and the systems of this world create poverty in our own lives and those around us. By being God’s people wherever we serve and fostering relationships, we believe we can be conduits for God’s redeeming grace to others.
The Mercy Ministry Committee exists to steward the financial resources designated for helping those in need of assistance and to promote acts of mercy among our congregation. Our first priority is to our members. It is our goal to confidentially consider every request made by or on behalf of our church members. Members are encouraged to make their request known by calling the Mercy Ministry office at 864-643-2605 or by sending an email to mercyministry@clemsonpres.org.
After assisting our members, remaining resources are available to help those outside our congregation living in Clemson, Pendleton, and Central, whether it is by directly aiding those who come to us, or providing support to partners in the community that are directly providing services to those in need.

widows ministry
Overseen by our deacons, The Widows Ministry seeks to honor widows and to see they are provided for. We support social activities to build relationships and enjoy each other’s company and give others practical support.

doers ministry
Doers are church members who seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus serving their brothers and sisters in Christ and the community through practical means. From yardwork at the church to giving rides to unclogging drains, the doers are here to get jobs done.

prison ministry
Clemson Pres partners with Metanoia Prison Ministry to offer outreach, discipleship, and hope to the men at Perry Correctional Institute in Pelzer. Inmates are paired with a mentor who visits and encourages spiritual growth.
